Book Blogger Hop: TBR pile

by rovingfiddlehead on May 8, 2012

The Children’s Room intern, Prairie Librarian, often participates in the Book Blogger Hop. I’ve often thought, “I should do that.” This week’s question couldn’t be easier so I’m finally participating as well.

What are the next five books in your TBR (to-be-read) pile?

Across the Universe by Beth Revis. YA scifi title that I’ve been hearing good things about. I like multiple point-of-view stories although I generally prefer ones that are a bit more complex than this one’s alternating teen guy and teen girl. These two were born +200 years apart though so that’s certainly a twist.

Runaway Twin by Peg Kehret. Iowa Children’s Choice Book for 2012–2013. I try to read all of these before school’s get out so I’m knowledgeable for the summer reading rush.

Icefall by Matt Kirby. Lived in Norway for awhile so am a sucker for any book with Vikings and Norse mythology.

The Tiger’s Wife by Téa Obreht. May’s book club choice. This time set in the Balkans. Probably 2/3 of our books take place outside the U.S. Just one of the many things I love about the group!

The Humming Room by Ellen Potter. Loved, loved, loved The Kneebone Boy. I have a feeling the library’s copy of The Humming Room has “gone for a walk” and I need to reorder another copy.

Hop over to Crazy for Books to see what others have lined up to read next.

Some great looking books! I’d never heard of Ellen Potter but The Kneebone Boy looks interesting…a little strange a little dark…just like I like them! Good luck with A the U. I confess I gave up on it and skimmed to the end. But so many people like it so it could just be me.

ACROSS THE UNIVERSE sounds very intriguing. I’ve been getting more into the YA dystopian genre, so this sounds like something I might have to check out. Thanks for linking up this week!
