Flannel Friday: Art Vocabulary Cards

November 9, 2012

I have a simple offering today that speaks to the many types of literacy that benefit children. I’m sure we’ve all used calendar art for children’s crafts at one time or another. I received a calendar a few years ago with a different piece of art for each day. I realized that a lot of the art was focussed as well as visually appealing and could be used to introduce vocabulary as well as art during storytime. Here are some of the cards I finished today.  When they are all finished, I will laminate them and add a magnet strip to the back as well.
