Flannel Friday: Haunted House

on October 5, 2012

More flaps this week. This time a haunted house with windows and a door that opens with each verse.

The Haunted House
Sung to: “The Wheels On The Bus“
The ghost in the house goes “Boo! Boo! Boo!“
“Boo! Boo! Boo! Boo! Boo! Boo!“
The ghost in the house goes “Boo! Boo! Boo!“
On Halloween.
Continue with:
The mummy in the house goes shh, shh, shh
The bats go ee ee ee
The cats go Meow
The witches go ha ha ha

You can find more verses to this song at Preschool Education and Speech Therapy Games. I chose five to match my house and also because it’s usually hard to hold the children’s attention for more than five verses.

This week’s roundup is hosted by Mary at Miss Mary Liberry. You can also find past and future roundups and lots more information about Flannel Friday at the Flannel Friday website. For a visual round-up of all postings, check out Flannel Friday on Pinterest.

  1. Lovely haunted house — love the song adaptation too! It so pays to use a tune that the kids already know.

Oooooh, you shared one of my favorite Halloween songs! Don’t you just love it?
Your haunted house is perfect! It has the WOW! factor and the kids and parents always love anything that makes them go “Wow!” :o)

I have never used a mummy in this song but I think he is my favorite from your haunted house. He is just so darn cute!

Thanks for sharing this week. Happy Halloween!
