Flannel Friday Inspiration: Elephants in the Tub & on a Spiderweb

on July 7, 2011

There have been a couple of great elephant flannelboard ideas on Flannel Friday so I made one set of elephants plus a bathtub out of milk filters and added a few pipe cleaners to the elephant bag (for the spiderweb mentioned below).

Five Elephants in the Bathtub comes from Future Librarian Superhero.

One elephant in the bathtub
Going for a swim.
Knock, Knock,
(Clap twice with “Knock, Knock.”)
Splash, Splash,
(Slap knees twice with “Splash, Splash.”)
Come on in!
(Motion with both hands to come in.)

Two elephants elephants in the bathtub… etc.

Five elephants elephants in the bathtub
Going for a swim.
Knock, Knock,
Splash, Splash,
They all fell in!

Five Elephants on a Spiderweb comes from Miss Mary Liberry. This one is great because it’s in both Spanish and English. I really Mary’s video singing the song in Spanish. Be sure to check out the other videos at the Storyblock site. They are a super resource for songs that you aren’t sure of.

1 Elephant went out to play

Upon a spider’s web one day
He had such enormous fun
He called another elephant to come.
(HEY, ELEPHANT!)

2 Elephants went out to play
Upon a spider’s web one day
They had such enormous fun,
They called another elephant to come…

etc.

Spanish

Un elefante se balanceaba
Sobre la tela de una araña
Como veía que resistía,
Fue a llamar a otro elefante!

¡ELEFANTE!

Dos elefantes se balanceaban
Sobre la tela de una araña
Como veían que resistía,
Fueron a llamar otro elefante…

etc.
