Flannel Friday: Pippa’s Penguins Flannelboard

October 7, 2011

I had the good fortune to go to a Storytime Workshop by Susan M. Dailey once. I came away with lots of great ideas, one of which was her story, Pippa’s Penguins. The story and template can be found at her very useful website.

Pippas Penguins

I find the story goes a little too long for kids if I use all of these so I mix them up and leave out a few each time. Also, the polka-dotted penguin is reversible to a normal black and white penguin so I can use it for more traditional penguin stories as well.

Finding Flannel Friday

This week’s Flannel Friday round-up is hosted by Future Librarian Superhero. To find past and future roundups, head on over to the Flannel Friday website (updated). For a visual round-up of all postings, check out Flannel Friday on Pinterest. There’s a Facebook group as well now.
